Battle of the Bands isn't just a competition. It's a movement creating a scene for original, upcoming artists to perform live in front of real crowds whilst bringing communities together to support original music and revive local culture. 2026 brings 6 heats leading to the final at Realtime Live Chesterfield. The heats are taking place in Ashfield, Mansfield, Chesterfield & Rotherham, with 4 bands competing at each heat. Networking with other bands is vital when it comes to growth and popularity. This year 24 bands are competing for a cash prize at the final. There are other incredible prizes to be won, donated by Hard Case International, Truth Studios, Realtime Live & Realtime Music Shop. Each winner of the 6 heats will go to the final decided by the judges & live audience QR vote. Additionally we will host a social media wildcard vote from each heat, so that 2 further bands can be voted in by you to get through to the final.
